Lancaster Under Attack"
BY ROBERT TAYLOR
Just Released: New Giclée Available
A dramatic centerpiece for any home, office or hangar!
This iconic piece, originally published in 2000, was an extraordinarily successful piece which sold out immediately upon it's release and has remained one of the rarest and most sought after items on the secondary market since that time.
However, we are thrilled to announce that, thanks to the introduction of high-definition technology, this classic image is at last available as the latest in the hugely popular series of artist signed GICLÉE STUDIO PROOFS on canvas.
LANCASTER UNDER ATTACK - In the night skies over Osterfeld during a raid carried out in December 1944, a Lancaster from 626 Squadron is forced to take evasive action as an Me110 G-4 night-fighter make a close pass beneath it. Both crews are locked in a desperate duel as they bid to out-maneuver each other.
The Lancaster, hampered by damage, jinks through the darkness whilst the Me110 pilot dives away to avoid the stream of tracer emanating from the Lancaster’s front turret. The contest could go either way.
“These Giclée proofs are so impressive, they are as close to my original painting in colour and texture as it is possible to achieve in reproduced format,” explains artist Robert Taylor. Each canvas is signed by Robert, stamped on the back, hand-numbered and issued with a Certificate of Authenticity.
